Joomla is the software behind this website. It's fantastic and it's open source, which means it's free. I've paid for several add-ons which increase the functionality, but it's a great way to get started with a very functional, content-driven website.

Software Applications

Constant Contact
My absolute favorite email marketing software. It's web based, it's feature rich and it's inexpensive.

Google Reader
I use reader to keep up with all of my favorite blogs (about 150 posts a day).

Feedburner
I use google's Feedburner to manage my RSS subscibers

Microsoft CRM
I use this tool in my professional job (yes, this site is just a hobby)

GMail
It just keeps getting better. I use Outlook for work, Gmail for everything else.

Lovely Charts
A great tool for creating nice looking charts and diagrams. Also free!

Filezilla
A great FTP client

JoomSuites
Excellent add-ons for Joomla

Blogger
The best choice for people just getting started with blogging. If I didn't need a very complex system for this site, I would be using blogger.

Google Analytics
Shows me everything I ever wanted to know about my site traffic and statistics.
