As much as I use technology in my sales and business endeavors, I am always grateful when a tool comes along that allows me to consolidate. Digsby is my recent favorite, and it's free!

Digsby is a desktop application which combines most popular IM, Email and Social Networking tools, as well as Twitter, into one easy to use interface. Here is a list of supported technologies.

I don't use a lot of those services and Digsby doesn't completely eliminate the ones I do use, but it makes for a great place to manage these services.

So what can Digsby do?

• Manage all of your IM's from different networks in one place, including logging and renaming contacts (change reallyweirdname999 to 'John').
• Show status updates and news feeds from friends on all of your social networks, and allow you to update your status on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
• Display all Twitter updates and send replies, re-tweet and direct message.
• Real-time updates of new email, as well as the ability to open the item, mark as read, delete or report spam.

All in all it's a great tool and I recommend you check it out. May save you some time and the inevitable attention drain involved with monitoring all those services.

	I think it's a good idea. To have an application that ties in a lot of the popular instant messaging and social networking websites is amazing. I would find this highly useful, since I do use about 90% of the things listed. I'm going to try it out. Thanks for the info!
